Authors publishing in the Journal of Mathematics retain the copyright in their work. The journal does not require a transfer of copyright at any point.

What authors retain

• Full copyright and all patent rights in the work.
• The right to reuse the whole or part of the article in teaching, in later publications, in a thesis or in a book, subject to acknowledgement of first publication in this journal.
• The right to deposit any version of the article in a repository or on a personal website without embargo.
• The right to be identified as the author of the work.

What authors grant

By submitting, authors grant the journal a non-exclusive licence to publish the article, to make it permanently available online, to deposit its metadata with indexing and preservation services, and to distribute it under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence.

Third-party material

Where a manuscript reproduces a figure, table, extended quotation or dataset owned by someone else, the authors are responsible for obtaining written permission from the rights holder and for supplying the required credit line. Material that cannot be licensed compatibly with CC BY 4.0 must be removed or replaced before publication.

How to cite and reuse

Anyone reusing an article must credit the original authors, cite the journal, volume, issue and page range, indicate whether changes were made, and provide a link to the licence at creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0.
